An urban garden in Le Cannet
A urban garden with a unique look
As landscape designers, we aim to create environments that reflect their owners. Our client wanted a garden with an industrial look that reflected his work as a perfumer, with perfume barrels for planters, a container transformed into a swimming pool, and a staircase combining metal and wood.
A pool, lawn and petanque court in 700 sqm
In only 700 sq. m, we have created several different spaces. In the periphery, trees and bamboo screen the view, while perennials, all associated with the world of perfume, add fragrance, colour and lightness: Buenos Aires sage, camphor, magnolia, citrus and candle cypress. Poplar fibre mulch softens the overall effect and acts as a screen against weeds.
The petanque court completes the picture. In addition to its primary function, it provides access to the ground floor and serves as a car park when there are guests.
An attractive, functional garden
At the far end, a generous lawn, laid in rolls, invites you to take a siesta. Access is via steps made with railway sleepers and filled with Malmort pebbles.
Alongside the pool, we planted flowerbeds to adorn the metal walls and add a splash of colour to the bathing area.
Giving nature free rein
For this urban garden we chose to plant only perennial species, which, like the Buenos Aires sage, will sow their own seeds and give the garden the freedom to develop.
