Small is beautiful
Our clients wanted to breathe new life into the lawn section of their garden, which was looking tired and unkempt. They were planning to replant the lawn and we convinced them to replace it with a mediterranean garden to provide low maintenance and watering.

A small mediterranean garden in La Roquette Sur Siagne
We have integrated all the ingredients of a mediterranean garden
Drought-tolerant plants, mulching and drip irrigation. On a surface area of just 150 m², we have created several areas, each with their specific ambiance, inviting the gaze to wander.
In the foreground, an exotic flavour with winter-spring flowers
We like to create gardens with flowers blooming at different times of the year. Here, the plants come from the southern hemisphere and bloom in winter and spring, with flowers in warm, bright colours. The palette ranges from yellow to red, with orange hues. Their shapes strike the eye, reminding us of feathers or fantastic insects.
The flower bed is composed of Australian callistemon, bulbs, daylilies and several varieties of Grevillea.
A Provençal garden by the terrace
To contrast with the uniqueness of the exotic bed, we planted a Provençal garden with smoother shapes and cool colours in shades of pink, blue and purple. The myrtle reminds the visitor of the owner's fondness for Corsica. Aromatic plants are close at hand to flavour the kitchen all year round.
With its gentle splashing and rusty hue, a corten steel fountain is an invitation to relax, blending in perfectly with the pebbles and succulents.
At the far end of the garden, nature offers a cosy corner. You get to it via a winding path lined with Malmort pebbles. The atmosphere here is Japanese, with a red maple, an elegant white wisteria and an albizia providing a table for two. In the background, a predominantly green screen of vegetation enhances the red of the maple. Golden grasses at the foot of the table add a touch of lightness. From the chair, you can contemplate the basin and its nonchalant trickle of water.
An essential ingredient of a dry garden, mulch harmonises the soil and prevents weeds from growing. Here we chose Malmort pebbles, a durable cover that is comfortable to walk on in bare feet. They conceal a drip irrigation system that feeds the plants.
And when night falls, lighting at the foot of the trees and along the pathway guides visitors and highlights the graphic bark and foliage.
